Yes: I would avoid such device. Not only are you increasing your risk of keratitis, which can lead to blindness, you are changing the anatomy of the eye by mechanical force, for a few hours.. Vision is too precious. I know zero eye physicians or eye surgeons who advocate this treatment. The only people who I have seen recommend this is non-physicians and non-surgeons. Consult an eye physician.

See ophthalmologist: Optometrists assess and treat refractive errors, meaning problems with the shape of the eye that cause blurry vision, and can be corrected by lenses. If they can't find the problem, it likely isn't related to eye shape and should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon), who can evaluate and treat all eye problems.

Yes: There are special contact lenses that can reshape the cornea to treat low levels of nearsightedness. This is called orthokeratology. However, one must go through a series of lenses and continue to wear them to have a lasting effect, similar to wearing braces and then a retainer at night.

The ;job of glasses and contacts is to readjust that focal point with its peak on the light receptive elements of the retina so there is a clear image.  This compensates for your eyes inability to do this.

Yes: For most people, laser can reduce the refractive error in the eyes such that glasses or contacts are no longer necessary.  It is one of the most successful surgeries devised by mankind.  See an ophthalmologist for evaluation.

Refraction: Either contact lenses or eyeglasses can correct near-sightedness, far-sightedness or astigmatism.  If there is another eye problem such as dry eyes, ocular inflammation, or infection, glasses may be the better choice.

Accepted Answer

Possibly.: As cataracts grow, they can change your refractive error (the power needed in your glasses).  Sometimes, the power change affects astigmatism, and double vision can occur.  Have your ophthalmologist test you for your best-corrected vision, and see if the double vision goes away.  If it does not, and there are no other eye problems, then typically, cataract surgery will solve the problem.

The : The visian icl (implantable collamer lens), created by staarÂ® surgical company, is a phakic (do not remove the natural lens)  intraocular lens (iol) for the treatment of myopia and other refractive errors.  It is reversible and the surgery for this is very similar to cataract surgery.

Second opinion: I am guessing that both lasik procedures were done in the same facility.  If you still have unsatisfactory vision, this is the time to seek a second opinion from an unrelated facility to understand what has happened or perhaps your expectations were not met.  The goal is to be able to usefully see without optical aids like contacts.

Your : Your myopia can be corrected, but you will continue to have the same eye color.  Only standard contact lenses, worn on the eye surface, can potentially change your eye color.
