Fungal infection: It is likely a vaginal fungal infection (candida) secondary to antibiotic use. Call your doctor as there are prescription meds that will easily treat this.

Not sure: Where is she getting yeast infections? If it is a vaginal yeast infect, there are medications that can be used, including an oral tablet. Most yeast infections will not cause abdominal pain. If she has this, she should see her doctor as it may be a separate problem.

Due to : Antibiotics may need a retreatment . Monistat will give about the same results on retreatment . Your choice.

Furry coating: Please see a Dentist, preferably a specialist in Oral Medicine, for evaluation and treatment.  Has anyone done a swab/test for oral flora balance?  You may have fungal overgrowth because of antibiotic suppression of normal bacteria.

No: Antifungals do not affect oral contraceptive pill effectiveness

why does canesten oral say not to use it if you have a potassium, magnesium, or calcium deficiency? is it not safe? if i have any of these deficiencies is it still safe to take it locally as a cream? i would prefer to take it orally if it is safe to?

: I think Fluconazole is the main ingredient of Canesten in Australia and it can be used orally. People with K, Mg or Ca deficiency are at risk for prolonged QT / cardiac arrhythmia and Fluconazole potentiates this risk. If you are healthy, Fluconazole can be taken by mouth if indicated.
In outpatient setting most of the time Fluconazole is prescribed without a blood test for electrolytes.

: Canesten itself should not cause bleeding, but perhaps there is infection or trauma that becomes apparent when using it. A gynecologic exam would best evaluate this.

Canesten Side Effect: If you are taking Canesten orally, common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, itching, and abnormalities in liver function tests. Canesten can also interact with a number of medications, so be sure to review your current medications with your doctor before taking Canesten.
