Cancer unlikely: It is very unlikely that you have throat cancer. If the symptoms do not improve in a week or so, it would be prudent to see your doctor to ascertain the cause.

ENT cancer at 24: An ENT cancer at your age would be extremely rare.  Just meet with your ENT and follow their suggestions.  There are many benign conditions and you likely have one.  Best of luck.

: Viral infection could cause relapse but bacterial infection will rarely cause relapse.  Notify neurologist and make sure you are taking a potent DMT

Possible strep: as all family members have sore throat all need to have strep screen and all need to be treated at the same time so it does not keep recurring

Throat involves: Swallowing, breathing and speaking.  Changes in these are signs.  Can also have pain going to the ear.  The neck has muscles, blood vessels, nerves and a few lymphatic glands that enlarge with infections (hurt), and tumor (usually do not hurt. (endocrine glands: thyroid and parathyroid are in the low neck as well. Cancers usually are squamous. These are assoc with tobacco & hpv.

Sore throat or otalgia can be a late symptom of oropharyngeal cancer.  Rarely, patients can have rock hard cervical or supraclavicular lymph node enlargement.  Most patients present over 50 years of age.
