Adenocarcinoma: Glands all begin as outpouchings of surfaces and these are the cells that come into contact with various chemicals -- including many from nature -- that can damage genes. They also renew their cells and this allows overgrowth of mutated clones that eventually become cancer. This is a good question that's often not addressed in general medical education. Easy transformation: The glands produce various factors from mucous to hormones while the supportive structures such as muscle, nerve, bone are not as exposed to environmental factors where viruses and carcinogenic agents can enter.  Thus breast, colon , lung glandular tissue are common sites for cellular transformation.

Can not tell you: It is impossible to tell you how long he will live. Every person is different and only his doctor can give him an estimate. Even then some people live long past an estimate that is given to them. It is best to help him live the rest of his life as fully as possible and not be focused on how much time he has left.

have progressive bulgar palsy.  i was told it was caused by cancer.  i had cancer in one lymph gland and it has been removed. how can it cause palsy.

Give us correct stor: Do you have bulbar palsy or something else? That is a serious neurological problem which can not be attributed to cancer especially if the cancer is gone now. Your doctor can help you more, or you should seek a second opinion from a neurologist.

can docs diagnose cancer in a parotid gland from a single cat scan with contrast? or would biopsy and/or additional tests/scans be needed to confirm? next appointment is with oncologist (before seeing ent) after finding growth on cat scan. do i worry?

Not confirmed: That data on this drug for adrenal cancer is very limited. Efficacy has not been confirmed yet. It is not approved in the United States for this indication. I am not aware of clinical trial on this disease but you may want to contact major centers or check clinicaltrials.gov
