i have a lump directly below my rib cage  on my back, left side. feels like a lump  on a muscle but theres not one the other side. its about half an inch- an inch long. just feels a tiny bit sore, all my back muscles ache at top too. ?

Could be: Chest wall problem like slipped rib, could be a problem with your gall bladder, pancreas, liver, stomach or intestine. See your doctor if the pain persists.

Several possibilitie: I am sorry to hear of your pain.  The differential diagnosis includes scoliosis with muscle spasm along the convexity of the curve, thoracic nerve root injury, or retroperitoneal problems such as kidney stones.

Muscle irritability: Frequent muscle spasms or cramps can be due to deficiencies of calcium or magnesium. Your physician can order the appropriate tests if symptoms persist.

i have a constant pain on die right side of my body for abou 3 days now, its about in die middle of my rib cage, i thought i might have pulled a muscle as this is how the pain started but it feels like it's getting worse?

Massage with linimen: It is good that you identified the source of the pain to be most likely muscular. Massage with liniment should help but you may have to do it frequently initially; and hold the area when you cough or sneeze. Remember to do breathing exercises of breathing deeply also and hold the area to allow the deep breathing.

Not sure but best: if you get it x-rayed or CT'd if you are still concerned after a healthcare provider has examined it.  Some nodules or lipomas can grow underneath the skin.

Undefined: presence of a lump defined by a lesions  size, pain, mobility.  It could be a cartilaginous lesion growing off the lower edge of the rib, or a benign muscular process in the abdominal wall where the rectus abd. reaches the rib.  A needle aspiration under local can resolve the issue in most instances
