how do i stop yawning so much?  i already sleep 7 hr a night.

Not enough: I don't know how old you are, but if you're yawning a lot, and only getting 7 hours a night, you need more. There are a select few for whom 7 hours is enough, but most need at least 8 if not 10 hours a night. If you're falling asleep the moment your head hits the pillow, you are chronically sleep deprived.

Stress?: Perhaps you are under a great deal of stress?  Pay attention to your breathing and make sure you take deep breaths from time to time.  Good that you are exercising!  If you feel you are not getting restful sleep and know if you snore a lot a sleep study may be warranted.

Yawning: You don't have to be tired to yawn.  Some people will yawn as a form of stress relief or as a habit.

Yawning: is the way the body increases oxygen in the body.  How is the quality of your sleep?  Anyone say you snore a lot or may have sleep apnea?  Please see your doctor and  then considers learning some breathing exercises from someone like a certified yoga instructor.  Peace and good health.

Sleep study?: A sleep study might be helpful.  Sometimes the quality of sleep is lacking thus leaving one still feeling tired.

Sleep test: All of your symptoms may indicated sleep problems that can be life shortening or life threatening. If any level of obstructive sleep apnea is involved, oxygen desaturation can put tremendous stress on major organs including the brain and heart. The only way to know if there are serious problems is with an overnight sleep test. I encourage you to seek help.

See your family md: Your family md can refer you to an oral specialist or oropharyngeal surgeon if needed. Sounds like an infection and you should be given antibiotics and antiseptic gargles and mouth washes.

Heart monitor: Best way is ti get a longer term heart monitor to rule out cardiac arrhythmia. If no cardiac arrhythmia detected, these symptoms could just be from anxiety neurosis.

31/m two days back i heard a crackling sound (like internally) slightly above my left temple while yawning. it was accompanied by slight discomfort/pain in the same area. sleep has been affected. should i be worried/on look out for symptoms?

: May be TMJ temporomandibular joint  . if you place your fingers right in front of  the ear by the bump and open your mouth wide does it  replicate the incident?
