4 weeks usually: The fta-abs (fluorescent treponemal antibody absorption test can be used to detect syphilis except during the first 3 to 4 weeks after exposure to syphilis bacteria. Special darkfield microscopy is used mainly to diagnose syphilis in an early stage.

i got blood work done on the 14th. how do it takes for results to come back and if something was wrong, would they have contacted me by now?

Hmmm....: There are thousands of different blood tests, and about 50 are very commonly done. Blood test results can come back in 3 minutes to 3 weeks. It all depends on which test and on how urgently the result is needed. A patient needs to follow up with her doctor after a test is done, and not just expect somebody to contact her if a result is abnormal. Many results are available online to patients now.

i take testcypimate i've had blood work and my t count was high as well as my bilirubin level 1.8. everything else was normal, should i be concered?

Needs follow up: Your testesterone replacement should not get your serum level higher than about 1000 (depending on the lab). It can cause some liver issues that could increase your bilirubin so this does need to be addressed by your doctor, but i would assume cutting back on the replacement will get both things back in range.

i take 500 mg of b12 every day. my b12 blood work level came back at 1,279. it said 214 to 914 is range for b 12. should i consider taking 500 mg every other day to bring it down to the middle range?

: The liver stores about a year's worth of vitamin B12. You may stop taking B12 for three months and retest. Please note that elevated levels of B12 may be an indication of an inflammatory process. It would be prudent to discuss it with your doctor at the next visit.

Talk to your doctor: It is that he has to have 10-12 tests or has to have 10-12 tubes of blood drawn? What type of tests are being done? Most routine blood tests can be done on small amounts of blood. It would be prudent to talk to your doctor.

It varies...: "Lymphoma blood work" is not a specific term. Some blood tests take a few hours (standard chemistries or blood counts) whereas others may take a day or more.  If the blood was sent out to an outside lab, then shipping and reporting may take longer than the test itself. Also note, surveillance of lymphoma typically depends more on physical exam and radiology studies than it does on blood tests.

Yes, conclusive: The 4th generation HIV tests, which test for both HIV antigen and antibody, detect all HIV infections any time 28 days or more after infection. Official advice and some expert recommendations often play it safe by recommending longer times, but it really isn't necessary. I don't understand your second sentence/question.
