Yes, and longer: It can take a couple days to get full kill of the worms, and the eggs cause inflammation on the skin on the outside of the rectum. That can take several days to resolve.

Not likely: It is recommended to wear underwear or pajama and do not scratch ,so that you avoid oral -anal re-infection ,Transferring pinworm to bedding may occur if underwear or pajama has pinworm attached to them and in contact with bedding .Or your hand touch the part of underwear  and then touch the bedding .

No: The eggs require passage through the acid environment of the stomach &amp; into the intestines to complete their life cycle. They are an only human parasite that does not survive outside their human host more than a few days &amp; will not hatch  outside their specialized environmental needs.

New infestation: Anyone who is treated for pinworms can re-infest themselves by ingesting new eggs. The medication may stick around for a day or so but will not provide long term protection. Washing bed clothes and sheets in hot water and practicing good hand washing can reduce your risk.

No: The Mebendazole is a toxin that affects the nervous system of the worm and any eggs developing within them.To reinfect yourself, you simply contaminate your fingers with any eggs in your environment.These can be bed clothes, sheets, etc.These eggs pass to your face or mouth by chance,travel through your stomach to your gut.Wash your hands and sheets more often and reinfestation will stop.

but im starting to itch from pinworms again & i just now saw eggs for the 1st time in a few days.its been 10 days since 1st dose albenza (albendazole).is it ok?

PINWORM: sometimes: It's hard to get rid of pinworm. May need repeated treatment at 1 wk interval. Actions must be taken to eradicate ova from pt., close contact/your home. Avoid itching, take Claritin (loratadine) or any anti itch med at night, shower every a.M, wash hands frequently, keep nails short, wash all clothes, bedlinens, clean sofa and where ever the infected person/s sit or lies down. Whole family treatment needed.

taken 100mg mebendezanole for pinworm. what foods should i be avoiding? & what to do in terms of hygiene afraid i might breathe in eggs?

Wash: You don't necessarily need to avoid any foods, just be sure to wash fresh fruits and vegetables well before preparing any meals.  Frequent hand washing helps prevent the spread of any illness.
