"black specs" ?'s: " Black specs" in your underwear, may still be scabies (lice), so see your physician for an exam and treatment.  Contact with the genital region of another individual may convey lice infections without actual "intercourse".

Sensory issues?: I did not hear you mention "itching" as a problem here, lice always cause itching.   "Weird" and "popping" are complaints I have never heard in 20 years of medical practice. I would have an exam by a physician to investigate cause here.  Have you had a contact with lice? Is anxiety an issue of yours? Do you have a dry scalp or dandruff? What are you most worried about?

Sea lice: It's difficult to diagnose sea lice - also known as sea bather's eruption - unless trained doc that can see the actual larvae that cause it under a microscope. The diagnosis otherwise is mainly by history and exam. The rash typically involves area covered by clothing such as bathing suit or t-shirt worn in sea water where jellyfish reside. Jamaica certainly qualifies. Use Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) topical steroid

Head lice: Itching may continue even after all lice are destroyed. This happens because of a lingering allergic reaction to their bites. Over-the-counter cortisone (corticosteroid) creams or calamine lotion may help. For severe itching, antihistamine medicines (such as benadryl) or stronger, prescription-strength corticosteroid creams may be needed. Don't give antihistamines without doctors permission.

HEAD LICE: No. Nits once pop or  flat have lice already.

Sweat, fungus: This may represent fungal infection or sweaty irritated skin. Topical steroid cream can help with itching. If there is fungus use lamisil, (terbinafine) micatin, or lotrimin cream.

Dermatologist: I recommend consulting a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. The 2 conditions that come to mind are nits(lice eggs) and dandruff. Both conditions are treatable.

Dry Skin: There are a couple of reasons that could be responsible.  Dermatitis from change in shampoo.  Sunburn to  scalp.  Excessive use of hairdryer.

Then it is : Time to go see your pediatrician for help. To be sure it is head lice and possibly for a prescription
