Yes, but...: Why bother, when the stones may recur after dissolution? If you are dead-set against gallbladder removal, or have medical contraindications to the surgery, then stone dissolution therapy is an option. Can use oral cheno or urso (synthetic bear bile) which is costly and works about 1/2 the time over 6 months (poor candidates have calcified stones), or direct infusion of mtbe into the biliary tree.

Gallstones: Rapid weight loss can be associated with gallstones because your liver is producing more cholesterol. Overall gradual weight loss will lower your risk of gallstones over time.

Variable: This would depend on many things.  One can pass a gallstone and recover withing 24-48 hours.  However, if the gallbladder itself is diseased, if there are more stones or sludge in the bladder, if there are stones in the common bile duct, if there has been swelling of the outlet of the duct to the intestine, you current medical problems, then one could have problems for days to weeks.  Seek care!

Possibly: We frequently find stones at autopsy on very old people with no history of any issues. However, you have known stones and you may start to have problems. There is a  serious issue as to whether or not asymptomatic gallbladders should be removed. However there is another issue: GB cancer which is almost always found with stones the longer u have them the &gt; your chances are of getting GB cancer.

They are unrelated: Normal men, women, boys, and girls masturbate (it's universal). It isn't harmful, as the body goes through similar effects during regular sex with a partner (but too much of anything may become a problem). Masturbation does not relate to gallstone or gall bladder removal, cause hair loss or gray hair, make you weak, cause heart problems, lower testosterone, change your weight, damage eyes, etc...

Gall bladder cancer: Low but not zero. You team can make a better estimate  based on your race and where you live and your ethnicity.

Stone: Despite having gallbladder removed, a small percentage of patients can still form stones within the bile duct.  This is related to bile being concentrated.  There are different types of stones, most common is cholesterol.

Depends on problem: I the gallstone is symptomatic, the only treatment is surgical removal of the gallbladder. Greenish flui in the stomach is normal.

Well, that's good: Ultrasound is very dependent upon who is doing the study. The more experienced sonographers are the best. Sometimes studies done on mobile units have technology issues. And sorry to add that not everyone is trained equally. It may take a third study to resolve the question. Occasionally a stone will pass uneventfully. Hope that was the case.
