i don't know if this is medical or not. but i'm wondering if it's possible to get pregnant even if you're not ovulating. i learned that if you have unprotected sex, no matter what day of the month it is, you will get pregnant.

Yes, : Yes, that is a very good question.  It is impossible to know exactly when a woman ovulates.  Typically, it is about two weeks after the first day of her last period, but this varies a great deal.  If the hormones are "out of whack", so to speak, then ovulation is very difficult to predict.  Some women also have irregular periods or even spotting that is not actually their period, which also makes it difficult to predict.  Therefore, you are right; unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy on almost any day of the cycle.

if i take a pregnancy test the last day of the month and it comes out negative. is it accurate that i didn't get pregnant on the 12th of that month?

Yes, usually...: Because no test is perfect, if a woman thinks she might still be pregnant, she can repeat a urine pregnancy test 1 week later to confirm the first negative result. She should be sure to read the instructions and do the test correctly.

See below: If your cycle is 28-30 days you would typically ovulate cycle day 14-16.  Sperm can live 4-5 days so intercourse on day 12 could result in pregnancy. Use a condom or see your doctor for other birth control options if you aren't desiring pregnancy.

Yes.: Pregnancy is always a possibility. No contraceptive method is 100% except abstinence. if you think you may be pregnant, buy an over-the-counter pregnancy test and check first AM urine after missed period or see your dr for a blood pregnancy test which is most accurate.

Possible: The "pull out" method is not a good form of birth control.  If you don't get your period on time, take a pregnancy test.

Lack of sleep : Try to get about 8 hours of sleep . Limit caffeine intake to 200 mg per day. Have a discussion with your OB about it.
