i was wondering is it possible to get only one bed-bug bite per night?

Doubt it (but never : Say never). Bed bug bites may
have no sx's/signs except for 2 small skin puncture points.  A reaction may show from an hr to several days later. It can cause itchy, pink, swollen, lesions w clear center. If hypersensite blisters may occur. A telltale sign is linear track of lesions from sequential feedings – but doesn't always occur. Bites are in areas exposed while sleeping-arms, shoulders, neck ;.

hi, i'm having a spreading swollen reaction to what is probably a bed bug bite(s). cannot get benadryl, (diphenhydramine) will phenylephrine work to help control it?

Accepted Answer

No: Phenylepherine is a decongestant not an antihistaminic, so it won't control itching or 'allergic reaction'. If you can't get benadryl (diphenhydramine) for whatever reason right now, try having a shower and apply cold compresses till you see a doctor, good luck

Bite: A picture would be ideal. Bed bugs usually bite multiple times. They are usually very itchy. A spider bite tends to be more painful and sometimes has a blister like lesion in the center. All the best and send along a picture.

i'm getting red spots on my back. itch a little, looks like pimples, but i usually don't get them. my back is covered at night. can it be bed bug bite?

Maybe: If its bedbugs the red spots would be anywhere the bed contacts your skin and sometimes you'll have tiny blood spots on the bed. Notably you'll have red papules in sets of 3 from where the critters ate breakfast lunch and dinner.

i have had some painful pimple like bumps on odd places like on the inside of my elbow and my knee. i do tend to get leg acne though. these are pretty painful though, maybe its the location. should i be concerned it is a bed bug bite?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It could be infection of hair follicles, folliculitis and may require antibiotic treatment.  It would be prudent to see your doctor.

i know its the bed making us ichy.but we have no bites im 90percent sure its not fleas or bed bugs.going to get a new bed but would like to know why?

Itchy: Have you changed detergent when you washed the sheets, or do you have a wool blanket that might be causing your itching. Or are you wearing new pajamas that havent been washed thus retaining formaldehyde that may sometimes be found in new clothes. Check with an allergist before investing in a new bed.

Driving you buggy: Just because you did the right things (changed all bed linens, washed linens in hot water, fumigated the house, cleaned all your clothes, cleaned your carpet) doesnt mean you cannot bring these critters home again or if you live in an multiunit facility someone else is donating them to you.  Start again from scratch. Report to landlord, use care traveling/staying outside your home/guests gifts.
