Theoretically, yes.: Toothbrushes come in contact with minute amounts of blood in saliva. Sharing personal care articles, therefore, it is not advisable.

Highly unlikely: Still to my knowledge there has been no reported incident of saliva contamination that caused hiv...It is extremely unlikely, however if the tooth brush had a lot of blood on it, it could be considered a little more possible, but again still very very unlikely.  If truly concerned, consult with your physician.  If this is a work related incident, then your employer will need to help.

Very unlikely: Even if her grandmother has HIV or hepatitis c, it is very unlikely to get such infections simply by chewing the toothbrush  used by her.

Extremely small risk: The risk is extremely small and really only possible if 1) both the infected person had some gum bleeding on the toothbrush, 2) the toothbrush was used immediately afterward, 3) the uninfected person used enough force while brushing to cause some gum bleeding.  It's really almost a theoretical risk (i've not heard about it actually happening).

Prob rare: Hepatitis c, especially, can exist on environmental surfaces for over a week, so objects that contain very small amounts of blood could theoretically be risky. Household members have been documented to get hepatitis c from each other, but people likely share lots of things so the risk of any one thing, like toothbrushes, would be hard to figure out.

Unnecessary concern: If you really have no exposure to blood or fluid from HIV, why are you so concerned?  Are you sharing toothbrush with another person?  If so , why?   Even then it would be nearly impossible for you to acquire HIV via a toothbrush unless it is soaked in HIV infected blood. You need to talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist re. this phobia.

Blood on it?: Hiv & hepatitis c are transmitted by contact with an infected persons blood.  No blood = no transmission.  However think of all those virus and bacteria that can be passed on shared toothbrushes & other personal care items. I certainly can't imagine sticking a toothbrush in my mouth that has someone's morning crud all over it.

Theoretically, Yes: But in practice it is highly unlikely. Hiv can live only seconds outside the body & with rinsing, drying, toothpaste, etc. Would normally be killed before being transferred. Still, you should never share a toothbrush with anyone - hiv+ or otherwise - you can transmit decay as well as other diseases like colds, flu etc.

can hiv spread by razors, toothbrush, manicure stuff etc, in any situation? i dont share them, but what if they touch any hiv blood or body fluid contaminated object before use and i cut myself or having bleeding gum etc?

: HIV is not transmitted by such exposures. No risk, no worries.
