is it normal for shingles to cause bruising in the same area as shingles sores?

Shingles sores.: An area of shingles can be characterized by surrounding areas of inflammation that looks like bruising - it’s called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.  It tends to last for several weeks after the shingles dried up and heals.

well on my moms back there is a light yellow bruising with purplish red dots i do have a picture of it i was wondering if it was shingles i never seen anything like it?

: What you're describing doesn't appear to be shingles but could be later stages of an ecchymosis or episode of superficial bleeding under the skin. The yellowish pigment would be from breakdown products of the blood cells. All this will eventually resolve.  Some trivial trauma or a spontaneous capillary bleed may have occurred. If you still have concerns, a physician could examine and advise her.

my son is 20. he has epilepsy and me/cfs. he now has shingles and is in a lot of pain. the red welt around the singles is turning into a purple bruise?

Probably unrelated: Shingles is usually very specific in which nerve root distribution it appears and would not be predicted to shift to the other side of the body.

See your Doc: You really need to check with your current doctors as to the significance of all of your symptoms and findings. You need face to face examination and follow-up.

Maybe: What was the cause of the liver disease? Shingles are a recurrence of dormant virus living in a nerve root. The shingles is an opportunist that comes as a rash, when the immune system is compromised. In itself it can make you very poorly. The liver disease is important to know about. How bad is the liver?

i developed some hurting skin in right outer armpit. a day felt the sore skin in shoulder blade/upper back. two days later noticed small rash on lower inner right breast. all of breast is tender, nipple very sensitive. is this shingles...a mild case?

: It sounds like you may be right that it is Shingles. You could be evaluated and may be placed on medication to reduce the duration of the pain and also consider getting the shingles vaccine.
