What you're describing doesn't appear to be shingles but could be later stages of an ecchymosis or episode of superficial bleeding under the skin. The yellowish pigment would be from breakdown products of the blood cells. All this will eventually resolve. Some trivial trauma or a spontaneous capillary bleed may have occurred. If you still have concerns, a physician could examine and advise her.
