Possibly: urine itself is usually sterile, however there is always a possibility that the urine could have an infection.Public washroom floors are not very clean (with or without urine), so even if it was "water" on your laces, it is not sterile. The main thing is whether or not you washed your hands after you tied your laces!  If yes, then you are fine. Wash your hands and laces afterwards and you'll be ok

Probably not…: …kidney disease but more frequent bladder infections: holding urine stretches bladder so it doesn't function well in emptying, often leaving urine behind, which then becomes a source for infection. Try to urinate soon after getting the urge. If urinating often, see doc to be checked for UTI or diabetes.

Why do it: Urine and semen are normally sterile and the stool is loaded with bacteria which may not harm you. You shouldn't contract any diseases from those activities but they seem too grotesque to consider doing them.

Cystitis: A positive urine culture for e coli usually means you have an infection of the lining of the bladder, a cystitis.  That is what a "uti" is: a urinary tract infection.  This can be serious, as it can spread up the ureters to the kidneys (pyelonephritis) and eventually if not treated cause kidney failure.  It can also spread to the blood which can be fatal.  See a doctor asap and get treated.

Swelling of Legs: By the time significant edema is occurring in kidney disfunction, tests are highly likely to detect the kidneys as the source.  However there are several causes for edema and fatigue, including hypothyroidism, heart or liver problems as well as other less common ailments.
If the only evaluation has been urine and blood, and it is normal, look into other causes other than the kidneys themselves.

Urine is sterile: I think it is a common feeling to worry about public toilets. But, just to reassure you urine is not infectious or infected. It is usually sterile and thus does not carry or transmit disease.  Many people get to the place where they bring cleaning wipes for using these bathrooms or use the supplied toilet seat covers.
