A trip to your doc: First, why are you on suboxone? If you are getting of opiates, you may be having withdrawl. If you are using it for pain control, you might need to change medications.

Not as effective: The total dose is the same (as long as you drink total volume you diluted), but why do that? If having a problem with Rx form, need to discuss with provider, not  self-medicate, which may be source of Rx in first place.

Suboxone: ViragZ ~ yes, if you get tested within 48 hours of taking that you will show positive. Drinking water only makes you pee more! The Half life of suboxone is anywhere from 3 - 37 hours which means it could be in the system after 5 days. You're probably safe at a week. If you took it sublinguinally that gives the best absorption and longer time to hang ! Dont mess with narcotics recreationally.!

i am on suboxone. i find when i drink alcohol i can drink 3 times as much as i used to. i don't get as drunk & never get a hangover. why is this?

Not a good idea: By and large, and despite some anecdotes to contradict this, mixing and opiate or partial opiate agonist like Suboxone (a component of Naltrexone) is NOT a good idea. On the contrary, both can depress the central nervous system, and cause from driving to any activity requiring full attention. Maybe a part time effect from the other component (Naltrexone) will increase the alcohol tolerance.

Unlikely: Heroin and its metabolites are detectable in urine for 5-7 days after last use.

To what purpose?: Are either of these drugs prescribed, and do the prescribers know that you are doing this, particularly mixing alcohol with them?  The combination of opioids and benzodiazepines can be potentially lethal, and rarely is helpful to the individual's underlying problems. You need to be under the care of an addiction treatment professional for your multiple problems, including psychological counseling.

i recently broke a tooth and need a root canal.  im horrible at the dentist though.  i have been on suboxone for 9+years, 1/4 of a strip a day now, which helped me stop drinking.  
does suboxone interfere w/anesthesia, either iv, nitrous, or xanax?

Dental Anesthesia: You should have no issues with local anesthesia, and that's all you probably need for the root canal treatment. Discuss your full medical history with your dentist and s/he will determine how to proceed with your care.

Relative no-no: both meds together are a relative contraindication, since they both will decrease your respiration rate and may cause breathing concerns.
additionally, suboxone is a medication for opiate addiction and valium is another highly addicting controlled substance, so together doesn't make much sense.  Suboxone can help mood and anxiety on its own.  Good luck with your sobriety!

That depends on how: Long you were on Methadone and on what dose. Suboxone (buprenorphine) will precipitate withdrawal in people who are dependent on other opioid drugs. Methadone is very long-acting, and precipitated withdrawal can occur even days after your last dose if you were on Methadone long-term. Tapering Methadone down to 30 mg or less, and waiting 2-3 days (until withdrawal is present) is safest way.
