Maybe: Mvp sometimes can cause cp. You may have valve regurgitation. It is best to have a cardiologic examination and possibly an echo.

This is worrisome: Any pain that occurs while sleeping is dangerous.  You need to have your heart examined as well as your chest, and soon.  Always sleep with your head up on a wedge or several pillows and see checklist for avoiding heartburn.  Good luck.  Get seen.

: Is there anywhere else your little ones can stay temporarily while you are caring for your mother? The hospice social worker may be able to help with this. Hopefully, a relative or close friend can help-maybe someone can stay with you and keep your kids occupied in another room while you take care of your mom? I know how difficult this is-hardest thing ever-but there is help. Call hospice tonight.

Effect, not cause: Shortness of breath is a symptom. It can be caused by alot of different things. Some of those things could cause sudden cardiac death. For example, a heart attack can present as shortness of breath and lead to sudden death. A pulmonary embolism can cause sob and lead to death. But also remember, alot of benign things can cause sob. Needs to be properly evaluated.

Panic: Good % of mitral valve prolapse pts. Suffer panic disorder/pd which is diagnosed in absence of other mental diagnosis. Treatment is different if you suffer from generalized anxiety/gad with panic attacks. Good that tests are normal.  This is very common and nothing to worry about. Zoloft, paxil, xanax, Effexor (venlafaxine) are all powerful meds for pd. Many more for gad. Do not panic about your panic..
