Could shortness of breath lead to sudden cardiac death?

Effect, not cause: Shortness of breath is a symptom. It can be caused by alot of different things. Some of those things could cause sudden cardiac death. For example, a heart attack can present as shortness of breath and lead to sudden death. A pulmonary embolism can cause sob and lead to death. But also remember, alot of benign things can cause sob. Needs to be properly evaluated.
