Panic: Good % of mitral valve prolapse pts. Suffer panic disorder/pd which is diagnosed in absence of other mental diagnosis. Treatment is different if you suffer from generalized anxiety/gad with panic attacks. Good that tests are normal. This is very common and nothing to worry about. Zoloft, paxil, xanax, Effexor (venlafaxine) are all powerful meds for pd. Many more for gad. Do not panic about your panic..
