Why not use: Naproxen during day? If it makes you sleepy try Ibuprofen&gt; It's similar but less sedating!

: Yes, you can take Naproxen when taking Amphetamin/Dextroamphetamine unless you are taking medication(s) for hypertension or if you have kidney disease or stomach problem.
Tylenol OTC is safe to use as needed but Advil or Motrin or Ibuprofen (OTC) have the same adverse effects as Naproxen (Aleve).
Remember Tylenol or the other meds OTC should be used as needed only.

i am 76 years old with osteoarthritis. i have burning pain on both shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands knees, ankles. i have over the counter naproxen sulfate 220 mg and aleve 220 mg. how many of these can i take in the am and pm safely?

: Naproxen and Aleve are the same, an NSAID which carries major adverse effects with daily use for people at your age. For osteoarthritis you should use only Acetaminophen as needed and try Turmeric supplement for 3 months. If you have so much pain and want to use an NSAID, Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) is safer but only once in a while.
If possible, please join a Tai Chi class, it will be helpful.

Several weeks: You don't need the max dose to get the max effect. 
If used to relieve symptoms of arthritis 2 tab bid time contingent or around the clock. You also get the analgesic benefit for mild to moderate pain. Take in consideration that you  may experience serious side effects during treatment with this medicine. Make sure that your doctor check your progress at regular visits.

In reality,: so long as you have no gastritis or gastric/duodenal ulcers, high blood pressure or renal compromise it would be safe for a short period of time.  NSAIDs are not intended to be taken chronically either prescription or OTC

Throw it out: Meds are usually only good for a year. It is not recommended to take them after that time. Go buy some new ones.
