Many Things: If all you have is an X-ray, you need to have a CT Scan or an ultrasound or both and some blood work to rule out some of the more serious causes of abdominal pain.  If these are normal, then it could be IBS, especially if it is stress related.  Talk to your doctor.

Evan, etc: Evan is a combination of autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia. Though unknown cause in most cases, it is also commonly associated with other autoimmune disorders such as SLE or blood malignancies. B12 can be elevated commonly in these conditions. Celiac is an autoimmune disease.

Many things: Costochondritis of anterior rib not usually seen on xray. Pain in upper abdomen can because by different organs in region.Pancreatitis,  gastritis or ulcer, duodenum with duodenitis or ulcer,colitis , and eophagitis and reflux can cause upper abdominal pain. Endoscopy of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum often reveals the problem .Should be referred to gasroenterologist if symptoms continue.

calprotectin is 71, ulcers in small bowel on pillcam, autoimmune  symptoms, ibd blood work had elevated levels but didn't confirm. is this treatable yet? sister has crohns.

Treatable: It is thought that fecal calprotectin levels with Crohn's disease of the small bowel is lower than with colon involvement. However, there are no firm guidelines about calprotectin levels. Your gastroenterologist is best qualified to judge when treatment should be started, but from your statements I'd have a low threshold to begin treatment at this time. You could also seek a second opinion.

Oral Lesions: There are a number of things that can cause ulcers and/or lesions in the mouth. It's best to go to the dentist to do a thorough evaluation and diagnosis.

Common issue: Mouth ulcers in a 3 yo are usually a viral process. They can be the initial infection of what would later become cold sores. They can be from a variety of gut viruses that just started with the oral cavity in this instance. The cited blood count is non-specific, and rather normal for age. Treatment is supportive until they self heal. The focus is on maintaining hydration.

EGD: H pylori is checked via biopsy, which is done during a gastric endoscopy (egd.) you won't find it on your basic blood labwork. Your doctor can help with detailed answers. Good luck.

blood work is normal, colonoscopy is normal (no signs of ulcers or bleeding), biopsy showed ulcerative colitis. still finding blood in stool. how is this possible?

: You can have disease that is not apparent to the naked eye. It may be microscopic in nature and too early to cause a change in your blood work.
