If the male partner has an infection, his urine will contain trichomonas because it has to pass through the urethra. If the female partner has an infection, her urine might not have trichomonas because the female urethra is separate from the vagina. Either way, get tested, and use a condom to prevent STD's

Depends: It would likely show up on a full urinalysis if it included microscopy.In many clinical settings that step is omitted, since currently available  chemical strips can identify most issues without the extra equipment or needed training.If you suspect an issue be sure to relay that information to the doc so they will look for it.

: The wording indicates there are a higher-than-expected number of white blood cells (which indicate inflammation) and the presence of trichomonas. (Which is not a normal finding). Your doc should be consulted for your treatment options.

No: It's a protozoan, cannot be cultured, is generally easy to diagnose on physical exam, and the microbes can be seen in the fluid taken from the vagina. It also causes prostatitis and generally treatment is empirical without finding the bug.

No risk, no worry: For obvious reasons, STDs are extremely rare in infants or toddlers. And even if an STD were present, there would be little or no risj from such contact. Don't worry about it.

? Chemical cystitis: also causes urgency and frequency and burning and is thought to be a sensitivity to chemicals such as dyes instead of infection.  Drink a lot of water until the urine is very light, avoid foods with colored dyes, and urinate at least every 2-3 hours for several days.  If you have persistent symptoms, consult with a urologist.
