: With warmer weather, and more perspiration/less effective ventilation, fungal infections (yeast) are more common, which in the female genital area can produce discharge, itching.  See your gyn provider, for an exam and culture of the discharge to be certain.

can a male have trichomonsis for years? also, can a woman have a pap smear and have it come up negative for trich falsely i.e. must she be symptomatic

A male can: Be a reservoir for Trichomonas which is a protozoan parasite for years inside his urethral tract and not have a lot of signs of infection.  Pap smears are not tests for Trichomonas though if there happen to be these things on the slide then the pathologist will report.

is it possible that my girlfriend got trich from using a towel to bath with that her sexually active son used?

Never say never: We are taught to never say never and never say always so it is possible but it is also highly unlikely that your girlfriend got trich from a towel.

i had trich 18 months ago and treated it.   in a monogamous relationship for over a year.   can it come back after that long? no other partnersbut s/o

Unlikely: If you were treated adequately  and you are in a monogamous relationship it should not return. Take care!

: Almost half of all cases of nongonococcal urethritis do not have a specific etiology.
Your symptoms are consistent with urethritis but the most commons STD pathogens were ruled out and the problem was self limited in the previous years so I do not think an extensive workup is necessary. 
I wonder if your sexual partner has any symptom at all.
Whatever, please practice safe sex if you are single.

i was treated for trich august 17 .. took the antibiotics and the symptoms gone. if i decide to have sex with some new can i give them trich?? can trich come back i been celibate ever since?

: The symptoms may be gone, but as a female, you need to be certain by re-visiting the MD for a Trichomonas swab or culture before re-engaging in sexual activity. This is one of those infections that requires both partners (male and female) to be treated for eradication as it is a sexually transmitted infection. At the very least, inform a casual male partner of your infection &amp; Rx need.

adult female. only had oral sex w male (no intercourse). done culture tests for chlamydia gonnorhea, & trich, all negative. suffer from green discharge, itch & white coating on the vagina. symptoms come and go.tests show many lactobacilli & pus cells?

: Your symptoms are not related to oral sex. You need to see a gyn and have a pelvic exam to find the cause.

after two weeks of watery white vaginal discharge no smell no itch and getting tested for trich, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and bv all negative my results come back as yeast, would yeast present this way ?

Possibly yeast: Yeast usually causes only scant discharge; the main symptom is iitching and irritation. And yeast is normal in the vagina, so the test for yeast isn't necessarily abnormal. It might be worth a try at anti-yeast treatment, but it might not improve your symptoms. If not, keep working with your doctor about other causes.

can trich go away on its own?

Accepted Answer

Probably not: Most STDs are cleared by the immune system over time. But not trichomonas, which usually persists even if symptoms (vaginal discharge, etc) improve. If you think you have trich, see a doctor to confirm it. Also test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. If diagnosed w/ trich, get treated with metronidazole (Flagyl®, generics) or tinidazole (Tindamax®). Your sex partner(s) also must be treated. Good luck!

Not usually: You should be treated for this infection to get it to go away.  Also, make sure your sexual partners are treated or you will continue to get it.
