Alkaline phosphatase: Most labs have the upper value of normal around 120-140 for alkaline phosphatase, not sure why it has been reported as high. Regardless, that isolated value is not ruling in or out bone cancer. Lab values lack meaning out of clinical context and I would suggest talking with your ordering physician about your concerns for bone cancer.

i had a rectal resection due to cancer. i have just done a new bloods and my phosphate came back really low (0.74 and wbc was 3. should i be worried?

Just f/u with MD: Follow up with your gp and have your md repeated the labs again. If something is significant- your md can do some w/u to find why and to treat accordingly. Those likely unrelated to the cancer- unless you are telling me that you receive chemotherapy now- then the chemo is likely the reason why your WBC is low. If not, just continue to f/u with your md and discuss further.

Alkaline urine + UTI: Phosphate crystals are usually formed (precipitated) in alkaline urine. Urine infected with ammonia-producing organisms will also lead to complex stone formations called struvite stones (magnesium-ammonium-phosptate).

Lab error?: Possible to have vit d deficiency or hyperparathyroid. Other causes are usually pretty obvious and still others are very rare. I would repeat lab test first.

Lots of things: Around 5% of older folks run a high alk phos probably because of subclinical Paget's of bone. All teens and most kids have high alk phos until the growth sput is over -- up to 5x reference range is fine.

: You have posted numbers  that show the value is in the normal range. It is certainly not high.  There is no reason for concern. If you have concerns discuss it with your doc.

Acidifying urine: You can acidify urine by taking vitamin c or cranberry juice. Certain foods can acidify the urine too, such as plums, prunes, meats, cheeses, eggs, fish, and grains.
