is sleep apnea caused by not getting enough oxygen through my nose or is the problem sourced in my neck? i have chronic nasal congestion.

Not your nose: People with complete nasal blockade will simply begin to breathe through their mouth while asleep. This is not sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is closure of the airway due to obstruction of tissue in the back of the  throat (posterior pharynx) and it requires surgery or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) to open it.

i have chest congestion that i can feel up to my neck. when i cough, i get a very sharp pain. what could be the cause of this?

There are many...: There are many potential causes of pain with coughing; some of them are mild (ie. Bronchitis, viral infections, etc.) and some are more serious (ie. Clots in the lungs).  The cause would have to be worked up thoroughly by a physician, after a complete history and physical examination, to rule out some of the more serious potential causes.

could cough and congestion in 5 year old cause enlarged nodes in neck.would they be sore? or could i headache at back of neck be from cold?

AURI: Infection in the upper respiratory tract sometimes  have palpable nodes due to associated bacterial infection. Make sure the headache is not stiff neck of meningitis

See MD: Could be a few things. Strep throat, mononucleosis &amp; multiple others. Go see a physician for an evaluation

Do not worry: My advice to all my patients is "Do not worry, but verify" -that is, if something is out of the ordinary, do not ignore it, BUT instead of worrying about the "What if's ?" see your Dr and get your concerns addressed. Having lymph node swelling while on Humira is a fairly common side effect (1-10% reported), while lymphoma is rare (&lt;0.1%). Still, see your Dr if swelling remains after the infection.

what can cause sore throat, congestion, swollen lymphnodes on neck, fatigue and headache, no fever, negative for covid flu and strep?

Accepted Answer

: It is likely to be a viral infection and most such infections are self-limited. You may take acetaminophen for the aches, no more than 3 g in one day and no alcohol. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless to ensure proper hydration.
Get Covid vaccine.

can i take mucinex (guaifenesin) when i have a thyroid condition and am on synthroid? i have mucus and congestion in my throat.

Amberen: Is a unique vitamin supplement.  It is all natural and animal studies, toxicology and clinical trials with amberen did not reveal any significant adverse reaction or side effects.  The vitamins in it would not be considered harmful in any way to the thyroid gland.
