Large Bumps Tongue: Large bumps on the tongue are the taste buds. Many people are very surprised by how large they are and how often they have not looked closely before.

have strep throat but i also noticed these extremely tiny bumps or you can call then dots on the back of my throat above my uvula near my palate and it doesn't hurt. and i only know it's there when i use bright lightning and my tongue to feel over it?

Lymph nodes: These may represent enlarged lymph nodes related to your infection.  I would just make sure you followup with your doctor until all symptoms resolve.

i have red veiny bumps in the back of my throat and under my tongue and white patches throughout my mouth i'm currently taking penicillin for a strep throat i had and just got diag with hsv2 so i dont know if that is related ?

Possible, unlikely: HSV2 is an unlikely cause of these oral symptoms, but might be possible if a) the "white spots" are open sores and painful, and b) if there is evidence HSV2 was acquired in the last 2-3 weeks. Do you have genital herpes symptoms? Was HSV2 diagnosed by swab test (oral or genital) or blood test? If blood, the result needs to be strongly positive; weakly positive results often are false.

there are many white bumps at the very back of my tongue ive had for several months, maybe years. occasionally a strep throat type feeling flares up and lasts 2 or 3 days. is this likely oral thrush? could it stem from gut issues? candida?

: Almost certainly not thrush and probably not a health problem at all. Everybody has a row of 7-11 "circumvallate papillae" (large taste buds) in a line across the back of the tongue. Perhaps that is what you are noticing. Google it for more information and photos.

Yes: A bump inside your lower lip may be a viral sore (like a cold sore) or a mucocele (swollen tissue in the mouth). Take the antibiotics for the strept throat if prescribed and follow up with your doctor if the lump doesn't go away. Drink a lot of fluids and use a numbing spray (like chloroseptic) if needed for pain in your mouth.

HFM: Could be hand/foot/mouth virus (coxsackie a19) a common viral infection in the summer that usually affects younger people.  Can last up to 14 days, with blisters in throat, mouth, gums, hands and feet.

See doctor for strep: Strep can cause a sore throat and mouth.  Virus can also cause pain and sores.  If you think you have strep it is very important to see a doctor and get it treated asap.  Strep is contagious and can cause serious infections.
