Sinusitis: The ear discomfort can definitely be related if there was  congestion in your posterior pharynx or the post nasal discharge caused ear infection. Lower, rather than upper dental pain, is a little unusual but not out of the question. Are you sure you do not have a gingival or dental problem?

Yes: Sinus infections often cause pain in the teeth, especially the upper teeth on the side of the innfection.

Accepted Answer

Infection in tooth: An infection in this upper tooth can spread to the sinus.  The tooth either needs a root canal therapy or an extraction.  However you need to do it now since you currently have an active infection that needs attention now.

my 4 yr old son was diagnosed with flu a a week ago and is now showing signs of what i believe to be a sinus infection. does he need to take any other trip to the doctor or can he be treated at home? hes having eye and tooth pain from time to time?

: That would be up to the doctor that treats him. Your assumption may be valid or not and the pain may be from retained fluid rather than a secondary infection. Flu A is well known to irritate the structures of the upper airway.

Yes: Sinus infection (especially in the maxillary sinus) can cause teeth pain in the area of top teeth.  Flying can increase the pressure in the sinus which in turn can cause the teeth pain worse.

Yes surely: Anatomically, sometimes the root apices of maxillary molars and premolars can intrude into the sinus cavity and seasonal allergies, or upper respiratory infection, sinusitis, and the pressure and congestions that comes with these can cause the teeth to ache - when there is nothing wrong with the teeth.  You can get referred pain to the lower arch as well.

Not likely: Anxiety symptoms are not a sign of illness, they are the mind's ability to produce the "flight or fight" response which gives rise to many physiological changes include heart palpitations, nausea, tingling, insomnia, dry mouth, speech impairment, tremor and sweating. Depending on the cause of your anxiety symptoms, your health care provider can provide you with treatment option

Probably: Assuming you are otherwise healthy, the answer is probably, especially if you have had a recent cold, and/or plane travel.  Call your doc. Rx may include something to open nasal passages, something to thin out mucus, something to kill germs.

Probably not: Your sinuses do not communicate with gum tissue around your teeth. You may have an infection that is draining, therefore no pain (no internal pressure). Please see a local dentist for evaluation.

my doctor put me on a zpack, naproxen and nasonex (mometasone) for a horrible sinus infection. i had facial pain, tooth pain andheadache. now i have kidney soreness in the back. i am on prozac. what should i do?

Related?: Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents like Naproxen may have adverse effects on kidney function, but this is quite rare considering the number of persons using these medications. Inform your doctor of your new symptoms to receive appropriate evaluation and care.
