There can be: Many reasons where an excess of dairy products can lead to constipation, including the calcium in milk and cheeses which when taken in excess can stop you up. Try drinking 80 oz of non caffeine, non dairy fluid and this should help.

increased fluid: Intake , good exercise habit , eating lots of fiber , fruits and vegetables are recommended to combat constipation . We also encourage to look the kind of medicine you are taking and discuss it with your physician if it causes constipation . As to milk  in its natural form ( not milk of magnesium) its role in constipation  is not really prominent  and i would not recommend it for that sole purpose.

Not usually: I have not seen constipation as a result of almond milk. Dairy can be constipating as can apples or apple juice in some. Not drinking enough fluid definitley. Bananas, sweet potatoes in some are  foods that can cause constipation. Define constipation: Breast fed kids may go a little every feed or one bulky stool every 7-10 days & if soft they are not constipated. Most formula babies go 1-2xd. Any stool that is dried out is constipation & a sign things are not moving along fast enough. Gas is from air swallowed or gas produced by gut germs. Fussy is whatever baby feels pissy about often fatigue.

Constipation: When transitioning to whole milk, both  constipation and diarrhea are very common.  Instead of using a milk alternative, I would just ensure that your toddler isn't getting too much milk which may make constipation worse.  I would try limiting the milk to 20 oz per day.  I would limit all sugary beverages to no more than 4 oz per day and give  8 oz/day or more of water.

Needs calcium: Dairy is an easy source of the calcium needed for babies to build bone. They need the equivalent of 4 cups a day. If you are convinced cow mild constipates him there are alternatives. Soy &amp; almond milks are formulated with calcium to meet that need.Goats milk supplemented with folate can also do it.  You can also feed the kid antacid tablets (Tums wafers) that would do the job.

No: Regular milk (cows milk) will make her more constipated. Try using probiotics like floras for or culturelle. Look at her diet as well. Pitted fruits like apricots, nectarines, plums are good esp if dried. You can soak it in water for about 15 min then blend it  with other things she may like. There's a new formula from end amok called reguline as your pediatrician about it
