When a healthy person eats a large amount of sugar or carbohydrate, his/her metabolism may speed up, temporarily increasing body temperature.

: The more time your blood sugar gets low, the less your body is aware that it is low. If you have diabetes, that is a problem when your body is not aware that it is low.

It's been described: Hi. While it's uncommon, it has been described. Are you diabetic on diabetes medicine? Your symptoms do not suggest hypoglycemia to me. If you're not diabetic, it's probably not hypoglycemia. If you are diabetic, test your BG when you have the symptom like you might pass out. What is your cardiac status? I think cardiac or neurological is more likely...or midodrine's not working.

No worries: A single 25 mg dose of Metoprolol will not hurt you. If you are worried about lowering you BP too much, just check it, especially if you feel particularly tired.

This could be anything from anxiety to diabetes to lymphoma.  I suggest you start at your local primary care physician for thorough investigation, including exhaustive history and physical exam, potentially labs.

At risk for diabetes: Whenever hypoglycemia occurs, it implies that there's a problem w/ how much insulin ur body makes (in this case too much @ the wrong time). Oddly enough, this means in the future your pancreas may "run out" of insulin when it needs it: diabetes. Consider this "pre-diabetes" or a diabetes risk factor. TTYD about dietary changes and ketogenic diets. It's good that u r w/o symptoms; hope it continues
