Can high sugar cause hot flashes?

Probably not: Although a lot of sugar and the digestion of it can cause significant heat in the body, a hot flash is a hormonal response and probably not triggered by sugar.

No: Hot flashes or postmenual symptoms are vasomotor response by dysregulations of estrogen. Having diabetes or elevated blood glucose should not cause similar symptoms.
