See your Doctor : It is not advisable to self treat particularly when you are pregnant. Even if you are treating a yeast infection, and  have been earlier diagnosed and you recognize the symptoms you still  need to see your doctor for proper treatment//care and rule out of other issues since you are pregnant. Take care and wish you the best the best outcome of the pregnancy ie "a healthy mother/healthy baby".

Yes: Following vaginal administration, small amounts of Monistat 7 are absorbed into your system.   But Problems with the fetus have not been observed. Monistat 7 is a good treatment for yeast during pregnancy.  It may  weaken latex condoms and diaphragms.

Yes: There are many anti-fungal medications that can be used in pregnancy besides Monistat 7.   Mycelex (clotrimazole) 7, for example.  There are also prescription anti-fungals that can be used.  Ask your doctor.  Best wishes!

im 36 weeks pregnant had some itching and was prescribed monistat 7 its the 4th night and theres still itching after inserting the applicator it goes ?

I'm assuming here: that you were going to write that the itching "goes away" for some period of time after applying it.  The cream alone might be easing the itching.  You might as well finish the whole treatment at this point.  If you still have itching or other symptoms, let your OB know at your next visit.  Oh, and don't use the cream on the day of your visit. Not at all!: Your baby is well protected in her bag of fluid and there is also still a mucus plug in the cervix so there is no chance this medication can get to her. Just be careful with the applicator, don't put it too far inside. Both Monistat and sexual intercourse are safe at this point!

: Notify your obstetrician of this spotting and inquire about whether to continue the monistat. I assume you haven't traumatized your vagina when you insert the monistat. Very light spotting in early pregnancy is common and usually not a serious symptom.

Yes, it's safe.: The Monistat test kit measures vaginal acidity to screen for a bacterial vaginal infection. If the color DIDN'T change, then it's more likely that your symptoms are caused by a yeast infection.  Re-read the instructions to confirm that.  The test is accurate in measuring acidity but not particularly reliable in determining what's causing your symptoms.  Still, Monistat 7 is safe @ 28 weeks.

Gentian violet/monis: Although gentian violet is effective locally for yeast and has been used in babies for thrush in the past before we had better alternatives, it is a little messy and makes a little coloured mess and can stain the clothes.You are usin Monistat lacally which is more effective and can be used on nipples and in vagina as well.
That is my honest opinion.
