: Abrupt discontinuance is not recommended even with short term use and not very high dose . It is safer if you can taper then stop after 2 weeks by using lower dose each day then q other day.

Not recommended: Cold turkey off hydrocodone can be severe, unsafe and is unnecessary. People who have used hydrocodone for more than 6 months and you can expect to feel severe  cold turkey opioid withdrawal. The best and safest way to wean off lortab is under medical supervision in the case that tweaking and adjustments are required.

You're wise to ask!: It's good to get off Ativan (lorazepam) - your Dr should help you do it safely, but if you need to do it alone, do taper over the next few weeks and watch for symptoms. Here's good info:

Ativan (lorazepam) withdrawal :  if you knew this was going to happen I would immediately drop to 3 MG a day for 7 days then 2mg for 7 days the 1 MG for 7 and then 0.5mg for 7.  If you don't have the warning it's best to reduce usage to maybe 1 MG a day and the 0.5 making your pills last as long as possible.   Paying for them yourself following the first taper would work as well.   Good luck

Stopping Ativan (lorazepam): If you are able, you have to stop it slowly as there is a risk of seizure if you abruptly stop it. Try to gradually taper off. Go down one half milligram every 2-3 days. It is also advisable to discuss this with the physician prescribing this for you so you can be observed for worsening of your anxiety.
