Tooth extraction: You can return to work soon after an extraction.  You should avoid heavy lifting and bending for at least 24 hours. Follow the post op instructions that your dentist gave you.  There are few restrictions following a simple extraction and more following a surgical extraction.  The dentist that did your extraction is the best to answer this for your individual case.  Call and ask about this.

Varies: Really depends on the difficulty of the extraction, if surgery is required, and if you are on narcotic pain meds afterwards. There is no one specific number to fit all scenarios. If on narcotics, you may be dizzy and more prone to losing your balance while lifting, possibly causing harm to yourself or others. Discuss with your surgeon after the procedure.

Post op: Generally speaking, you can resume normal activities as soon as the numbness has worn off and the bleeding has stopped as long as you fell up to it.  Your own dentist is the best one to discuss this further with you.

For one tooth: Extraction, you should be ok to workout 4-5 days after procedure.  Beware if you are on narcotic pain medicine and lift weights or if your workouts are very high intensity. 7 days if full set of wisdom teeth or multiple teeth have been removed.

i had a normal tooth extraction almost a week ago, the site isnt completely healed yet, but im wondering if im ok to smoke & go back to eating more foods again?

: Since it’s only a week since the extraction, it would make sense NOT to smoke as this may slow the healing process. As far as food goes it should be ok, however i would discuss it with your dentist.

Tooth extraction: I usually use an elevator and try to cause the least trauma so there is less post-op pain. Sometimes its nes. To section a tooth or use forcepts. It should be painless.  You may feels a lot of pressure and some crackling sounds are normal. We provide headphones to watch tv during the procedure to remove the sound.

Not sure your ??: If you need an extraction...You'll go to a dentist or oral surgeon (specialist) and they will x ray your tooth(teeth) and determine what needs to be removed.  They will numb you up accordingly, and remove the offending teeth.  It could be a simple extraction or they might need to remove bone or tissue.  They'll know and they will let you know ahead of time.

Depends on anesthesi: a used.If local anesthesia is used with no pain killers, then it might be safe to go back, even though no one will understand what you're saying due to your lips being numb &amp; possible drooling. If general anesthesia or pain meds used, absolutely not.You are at risk driving or doing machinery.Tke the day off to recover &amp; heal faster.You can't eat right away or you could bite your lips accidentally.
