Depends: When the proper form of this drug (no generics) is injected into muscle (as routine), it does not enter mom's circulation (or breast milk) &amp; pose a risk to the infant. Waiting a few hours to feed would likely eliminate any perceived risk. We have little data on this either way, but the available data suggests it is relatively safe when properly used.

Botox at 28?: A 28 year old shouldn't need botox.  (for that matter, no one needs botox!)  if they're telling you to stop, it's probably either because you're starting to look like plastic barbie doll, or because they're concerned that you have a body image problem that needs to be addressed.

Yes: Menstruating does not have any effect on the administration of botox.

Botox: As far as I know there is not contraindication.  You may have a little bleeding at the injection site but it can be easily controlled with pressure or aluminum chloride.

why do people get botox on their forehead? it seems like overkill.

Accepted Answer

Smooth forehead: People who are bothered by the lines in their foreheads get Botox there to smooth or relax those wrinkles.  A few units (7.5-10) is enough to achieve a nice and natural effect and not make the forehead completely "plastic" looking.  I like to maintain a band of about 2cm above each brow so that the patient can still animate and lift their brows.  Brands are Botox cosmetic, Dysport and xeomin (incobotulinumtoxin a).

Botox : Botox usually takes effect between 3-7 days.

is it okay to get botox if i'm 18 years old?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Yes, if you have frown lines, wrinkles on your forehead, or crow's feet around your eyes, Botox is an excellent option for reducing or preventing such lines. Age is not really a factor in my opinion. However, fda has approved Botox for injection in people 18-65 and only for frown line areas. This doesn't mean that it not safe or that it won't work in people outside that age group.

Information: It depends on what you are using it for. It has been used for facial spasms, migraines, esophageal spasm, anal fissures and various other problems. It has to be obtained through a physician.

Probably shouldn't: Botox is not recommended in pregnancy so ask your reproductive specialist.
