Basics: HPV is a family of viruses which include 2-4 strains that produce genital warts &amp; 7 or more associated with cervical cancer. Those infected seldom know unless they get the warts because they have no initial symptoms. The primary (1st) &amp; contagious infection usually clears within 2 yrs. It may resurface intermittently &amp; be contagious thereafter in some cases.

Wording issue: HPV is a family of virus strains that tend to have an initial active period (few yrs) before they go dormant or "hibernate" within an infected person indefinitely. Wart strains respond to direct treatment &amp; rarely but can re-activate. Strains associated with cervical cancer can be dormant for years or decades before triggering the changes of cancer.

6 y ago that i had a pap smear that showed i had low grade lesions. but it disappeared and for years it was normal . i recently had a pap smear done and it show hpv mrna e6/e7 detected ? do this mean i have cancer ? now its abnormal worried?

: No, it does not mean that you have cancer or even dysplasia. However, you should get repeat PAPs at the frequency recommended by your doctor.
It would be useful to get HPV vaccine to prevent infection by other strains of HPV.

Depends: The primary infection usually clears within 2 years spontaneously in people with a normal immune system. Many have visible warts removed (laser, frozen, chemical agents) but the germ itself will often hibernate in your system forever and may recur.

Excellent question!: Why our bodies can wipeout some infections on its own and not others is still not completely known. Why do some people infected with HIV not progress to full blown aids untreated, yet others do quickly. Why do some with hepatitis b go on to have chronic disease  while others clear the infection! it likely has to do with genetic coding (or lack of it) within each individual immune system.

No HPV: It sounds more a hemorrhoids than a condyloma from a HPV. HPV warts don't go away that quickly. If your stools are hard, it is advisable to use Miralax (polyethylene glycol) over the counter.
