No: Hcg is a polypeptide hormone and it get broken down in the stomach and intestine. Incidentally taking HCG orally is not doing you any good other than lightening your wallet.

i took hcg drops about a month ago, stopped about 15 days later. yesterday i took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. could it be false?

Probably not: The drops were so long ago, and there is not great absorption anyway (ie. waste of money) that it would not cause the pregnancy test to be positive. I suggest you follow up with your GYN.

i`m 41 weeks pregnant and i took a pregnancy test just for fun and it was negative, why is that? the test was new, hcg drops, in late pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

Correct: HCG peaks around 9-10 weeks of pregnancy.  In some woman it can drop quite low in late pregnancy.    Usually its still high enough to show up on a urine pregnancy test but there have been some cases where the level isn't high enough to trigger a positive test.  Best wishes!

No: Homeopathic remedies are prepared in very minute quantities. Otc pregnancy tests are likely to give unreliable results detecting so-called "homeopathic hcg."  also, this form of HCG is not an approved homeopathic remedy and the fda withdrew it from the market in late 2011.  http://www.fda.gov/newsevents/newsroom/pressannouncements/ucm282334.htm.

HCG: If the original HCG values were low the treatment should restore that but I am surprised that you are concerned after only three days. If you do feel worse after three days please call your doctor.

Accepted Answer

No: Hcg is a hormone so if your is hormone free then you are not taking hcg. Hcg would be destroyed by the acid in your stomach anyway. Congratulations! you are most likely pregnant.

May take 8 weeks: May take 8 weeks or more to regulate after a miscarriage.
IF takes 3 months to regulate, testing for ovulation irregularity may be needed

Early loss: Could be OC failure with early  pregnancy loss.Other causes of elevation , tumor ,also unlikely,ghost Hcg.

Could be: You could get pregnant, but hormones that pregnancy test test for are after implantation and the body starts producing the hormone.
