I`m 41 weeks pregnant and i took a pregnancy test just for fun and it was negative, why is that? the test was new, hcg drops, in late pregnancy?

Correct: HCG peaks around 9-10 weeks of pregnancy. In some woman it can drop quite low in late pregnancy. Usually its still high enough to show up on a urine pregnancy test but there have been some cases where the level isn't high enough to trigger a positive test. Best wishes!
