hi, i have gout and need feedback on whether the following food items can flare up gout:? nuts, white eggs, pomegranate, spinach, wheat bread, honey.

Multiple causes: The most common causes of gouty attacks can be attributed to red meat, shellfish, red wines, and cheeses.  While this answer is very broad, specifically foods rich in purines precipitate a gouty attack.  Patient's bodies either produce too much uric acid (with normal excretion levels) or do not excrete enough (with normal production of uric acid).  See your doctor for some simple tests and meds.

Hard: To achieve.  You have to make lifestyle changes.  These are hard.  If you like pasta and bread and you want to eat low carbs, you have a difficult choice. Both are impossible.

You : You sound like you are really feeling miserable.  Obviously, you already know to drink alot of water. What I am going to suggest won't fix the problem, but may help with healing. If you aren't using probiotics  consider it - kefir, greek yogurt or in the form of supplements.

Whole grain: Has more variety than whole wheat and thus MAY be a bit better due to the variety and the interaction of the grains.  Consider trying sprouted grain breads such as Ezekiel bread, found. In frozen section of super market.  Peace and good health.

yest i ate pot salad coleslaw and half a sandwich on whole wheat bread and today can't stop having loose still. is this normal?

No, however...: No, that is not at all normal. The most likely possibilities are either an intestinal virus (which would mean it has nothing to do with what you ate) or a mild case of food poisoning. If potato salad or coleslaw are kept unrefrigerated for several hours bacteria can grow that produce toxins that cause diarrhea. This is not an infection, In either case, you will likely feel better in a day or two.

Complex carb: In general complex carbs such as whole grain foods are healthier because their digestion takes longer through the gastrointestinal tract and thus does not cause blood sugar levels to rise as much as simple carbs. Anything that causes fast rise in blood sugar can cause diabetes and obesity.
