Many years, if at al: The grade of the biopsy matters in terms of the risk for development of cancer. The risk is relatively small(less than one in ten cases) and it takes many years(&gt;5-10 years) if it ever occurs. So follow your gastroenterologist's advice for check ups at least once yearly.

hello doctors!! i know that you cannot predict with certainty...but....i am having a colonoscopy. thank god i do not have any overt symptoms. fobt negative. is it possible to have colon cancer (advanced) or other serious disease(s) with no symptoms?

Of course......: It is always possible to have a serious medical issue without any symptoms... that why you're having a colonoscopy! To allow your gastroenterologist to check for any signs of cancer before it becomes advanced and life threatening. High blood pressure and diabetes often don't have symptoms, but both can take a toll on your health and kill you. Early detection and treatment is key to a long life.

Focused high dose radiation can induce lethal mutations in cancer cells while minimizing exposure to normal cells.

Yes, usually: The reason that it may be more difficult to heal two types of cancer is that they may be in difficult locations and it may require different modes of treatment.For example, one cancer may be in the brain and the other in the foot.Physically being at such a distance may require 2 separate surgeries. Furthermore, different cancers may require different chemotherapy.More chemo makes it harder to heal.
