do you really need to discard eye drops after 30 days? i mean, you don't use all of 10 ml eye drops in 30 days. i never throw eye drops away.

You are correct: Eyedrops expire on the date listed on the bottle.  If there is some left in the bottle and you have used it properly (not touching the tip to your eye), then you can cap it and store it.  Better to store it in the refrigerator until needed again. Don't share eye drops, however, .

Eye drops: The drops are mild,for the yes,any drops used in eyes,go through tear ducts in nose,and there on to throat,as in tears we swallow them

No harm at all: When you apply these drops to your eyes, some of it passes down the lacrimal drainage system into your nose and then down your throat with no harm.  A direct application of a drop into the throat will do no harm.

None: Alomide  drops are for allergies. I doubt you would get enough systemically to even cause any side effects unless you drank the entire bottle.

None: Visine eyedrops are forms of saline, and when applied in the usual way to the eye, the excess passes down the lacrimal canal into the nose and throat with no evidence of toxicity.  While i image the visine was not tasty, it will do no harm.

Poison Control Cntr: Er's consult with a national poison control center on how to handle cases like this. Visine has tetrahydrozoline, which can act as a  stimulant.  Oral consumption would lead to rapid absorption by the body.  It could be especially toxic in children and low body weight individuals. Nausea and vomiting: If these symptoms persist more than 24-48 hrs, please consider going to a physician to be evaluated. Especially if accompanied by fever. There is a bad virus infection creating these symptoms along with dehydration that could get significant very quickly.

A child puts a tiny one on the back of her tongue, and then washes it down with water or milk. The idea is not to swallow the object, but to swallow the water or milk. The object magically floats into the liquid and is washed down with the liquid.

Its very important to make sure that the food pipe is not blocked. If you are not able to swallow anything including saliva then please report to the nearest er right now, you may need a gastroscopy to relieve the obstruction. Also make sure that the breathing is normal.

A problem: It sound like you may have a piece of food lodged in your esophagus. If this feeling persists (and it sounds like it does), you should seek prompt attention. Sometimes an endoscopy is necessary to retrieve the offending food. It's much better to do this sooner rather than later.
