Be on the alert: Hi, it seems like the shrimp shell might have caused some local trauma and was probably dislodged when you threw up. Its very important to make sure that the food pipe is not blocked. If you are not able to swallow anything including saliva then please report to the nearest er right now, you may need a gastroscopy to relieve the obstruction. Also make sure that the breathing is normal.

Likely ok: If it were a lobster or crab shell, i would be worried. However if you have vomited it out or it has passed but if gets stuck at your throat, then see an ENT doctor.
