Practice makes...: Practice makes perfect, as the saying goes. We teach kids to swallow pills by starting with the tiny sprinkles that are used for cupcake toppings. A child puts a tiny one on the back of her tongue, and then washes it down with water or milk. The idea is not to swallow the object, but to swallow the water or milk. The object magically floats into the liquid and is washed down with the liquid.
