Low BP important only if one has symptoms like dizziness, blurry vision, fainting etc. If one's BP used to be higher then check one's medications &amp; supplements for causes. Low bp: Many young women have blood pressures as low as 90 systolic and are quite healthy. However if the low bp causes symptoms such as lightheadedness,weakness, fatigue or blurry vision, then it's a problem. You don't mention what your bp is, but if you're experiencing some of those symptoms you should undergo a medical assessment to look for certain glandular abnormalities, anemia, heart pathology,etc

Low BP: Low bp can be normal for some people. If it is causing symptoms like dizziness, fatigue then it is appropriate to try to bring it up. It would then depend upon the cause, for some people increasing salt consumption can be an option but there can be many causes of low bp and treatment would depend on the cause. Eating chips by itself without knowing the cause is not recommended at all.

Your question raises: many more questions such as medications you are taking, what is your pulse rate when you feel "shakey", how long does the symptom last, does it happen throughout the day?  It is too hard to answer with any degree of accuracy in this forum.  Perhaps the paid site where you could talk to one of the doctors to get these questions, and more answered.  Or you could consult your PCP.

BP: Low blood pressure is good but if it gets too low you will feel faint this can always be resolved by taking something with salt

Fluid: Increase fluid intake.  Drink more water, but also eat more salty food or have drinks with sugar and salt in them, like sports drinks.

how high can mobic (meloxicam) raise blood pressure? i have always had low blood pressure. started taking mobic (meloxicam) about 6 months ago, my bp now averages 140/88.

Several points: Usually non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents raise systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements by only a few points, but some persons are more sensitive to this side effect.  I'd try to stop the Mobic (meloxicam) and use Acetaminophen (up to 3 grams/day unless you have liver function abnormalities) and see if your blood pressure returns to  your normal.

Multiple manuevers: Acutely- lying down and putting feet up.Chronically- support stockings, water and salt intake , medications such as midodrine and flouronef . Midodrine causes increase tone in blood vessels to prevent pooling of blood in feet. Flournef is a salt retaining steroid which keeps blood pressure up by volume expansion.

Low Blood Pressure: I'm wondering why you have low blood pressure.   Are you under the care of a doctor?   Are you on any medication that could lower your blood pressure?   I recommend that you increase you hydration and increase your salt intake a bit.
