Not Prozac (fluoxetine): Have your doctor evaluate why you have "nerve damage" and "swelling".  Prozac (fluoxetine) has many bad effects, and I do NOT use it in my practice, but your issues seem secondary to another cause.

Accepted Answer

Sounds like you have: Arthritis, or a meniscal tear. The fall might be responsible for the arthritis, but i think its the daily activities with subtle injuries in a susceptible person resulting in a meniscal tear. Its not a nerve issue.
See an orthopod and I am sure he'll help you.
In the meantime, use a cane for support, as I have seen too many people falling ; making it worse.

: If you are having severe anxiety, it is well worthwhile to meet with your dentist to review your dental health.  While untreated infection can affect many different parts of the body, this is not usually a problem with healthy American adults with access to healthcare.

Os trigonum: Os trigonum is seldom symptomatic & seen in more than 10% of the population. Its a normal structure encountered in average people & professional athletes. Acquired form can result from non-union fractures. Conservative treatment can be effective in symptomatic patients with surgery being the last resort. Doubt permanent nerve damage & would re-consider diagnosis if that is the case.

Possible: likely contused the nerve; it should go away on it's own within a few days.  If not go see your doc

Accepted Answer

Ortho first: Would work closely with an orthopedic specialist, or podiatrist, if on foot.  Would treat the ankle fully first, and if question of "nerve damage", get an EMG test to see if a pinched nerve, such as tarsal tunnel syndrome.  Although many meds could ease symptoms, a decompressive surgery might be useful.  All depends on what truly is going on here.

fractured calcaneus and talus in right ankle 6wks ago. wearing aircast and crutches. pain in ankle subsided, some swelling still visible - 30% compared to week 1. tingling, pins & needles are getting worse, is it nerve damage? how to get rid of it?

: You still have many months ahead before you get through this major injury. Your doctor is your best source for information concerning your injury. Discuss with your physical therapist.

Support hose: Walking is good but you should wear support hose to prevent swelling and possible blood clots.
