Colon cancer: Less likely. Colon cancer commonly present with GI symptoms first if any. 
Risk of colon cancer is determined by age, family history of colon cancer under age 50, personal history of colon cancer or polyps, and high risk genetic syndromes. Under age 50, the risk of colon cancer is relatively low unless with high risk features as above. However, if your pain persist, you should be evaluated.

i have a slight pain near my tail bone. i have also recently had blood in stool but i do have hemmorroids. is colon cancer likely?

No: Your tail bone area pain has nothing to do with colon cancer but with possible trauma or bone disease. If you have a family hx of colon cancer then get a colonoscopy otherwise treat your hemorrhoids and see if you continue to have fecal blood

i had a colon resection for colon cancer and now have a ostomy. i'm having problems and a barium enema shows filing of the cecum. what would cause thi?

If the: Exam was performed through your colostomy, and you have a cecum, barium filling of the cecum is a normal finding.

what causes hemoglobin and hematocrit to be low but mcv levels, iron, and ferritin levels are normal. been having this problem for 8mths no blood in stool. guaiac test was normal. bowel changes mostly soft stool w/ mucus. could this be colon cancer?

: Chronic normochromic, normocytic anemia with normal iron parameters,normal Vit B12 levels and normal serum electrophoresis to rule out multiple myeloma can be caused by chronic inflammation. If you or your physician are still concerned, consult a hematologist for evaluation and advice.

Mostly unknown: Most colon cancers start as polyps. A minority of the colon cancers are hereditary and the cause is not known in most. Risk factors including low fiber diet, intake of saturated fats, obesity and increasing age. See this site for more info.

It can: Any stage 4 cancer will affect multiple parts of normal physiology including decreased intake of food and water that may result in dehydration.

Yes and no: They can both cause blood per rectum. They can both be asymptomatic.

Advanced colon cancer behaves differently than a polyp, however. If you are having these questions, speak with a doctor.

Colon ca risk: Diet (fat, etc), alcohol/smoking (weak), ethnicity (aaf has highest risk), gender (man&gt; woman), history of polyps, ibd, high risk genetic syndromes. Others, abdominal radiation, certain bacterial infection such as  streptococcus bovis, etc.

can chronic constipation cause colon cancer?

DIET NOT constipated: Not constipation per se , but diet may a factor:
diets high in whole grain, fruits, and veggies have been linked with a lower risk of colorectal cancer, but fiber supplements have  not been shown to prevent colo-rectal cancer. Excess red meats and processed meats can increase your colorectal cancer risk and cooking meats at very high heat may create chemicals that might increase cancer risk.
