Sounds like a lipoma: and nothing 2 worry about.they R also soft in texture &amp; freely moveable. If it's growing, then U should have it looked at. They will grow some, but not rapidly, also may get larger with weight gain.

my husband is having a swollen upperlip with a blister/boil in the middle portion of it. there is no pain and it is there for 6+ months. what is it?

Boil: Signs that a boil or abscess requires incision and drainage would be painful swelling, redness and tenderness. It's possible that your boil no longer needs drainage. Try hot(not too hot) compresses and if there is no further tenderness, swelling or drainage it may not require evaluation by a physician. See your MD as needed.

Pimple/boil/infex: This could be a few different things but most likely not an STD and most likely not something that will hurt you!  It may be an actual pimple or boil though there are some glands in that area that do get infected not uncommonly.  Try warm compresses to the area to try to get it to drain (do not pop).  If still there in a week or too painful to wait, be seen for exam and possible incision/drainage.
