what could cause dizziness in a 10 year old. he has allergies and mild asthma?

Mgt: This symptom may be due to a number of factors. The use of albuterol should follow an outlined plan, and keeping nasal passages clear with nasal saline will help.
If he has headaches, imbalance, vision changes or other symptoms a visit to the ED is advised.

Symptoms: Maybe be caused by hyperventilation. If they fail to occur at other times then it is something to do with sex. All the best.

6 months after having  covid 19 my chest feels tight, hard to breathe and  i feel dizzy and yet asthma meds do not help.  a spirometer and lung x-ray showed as normal which is good news but doesnt help me understand the reason ?

See a Doctor: Your symptoms could be cardiac. See a doctor to make sure you don't have ischemia due to coronary
artery disease. Have you had your lipids done recently?  Coronary blockages can present with these types of symptoms.

Maybe: During a severe asthma attack many people will feel light headed, especially if they are hyperventilating. If your oxygen levels drop during the attack dizziness is also common.

Yes: Otc zyrtec/ Claritin (loratadine) should not generally make you racy. But they may not be that helpful for your asthma symptoms.

Dizziness : Dizziness is not related to your asthma. You have what is known as orthostatic hypotension, which means you are getting up to rapidly from one position to another and your blood flow to your brain is momentarily delayed causing dizziness

Correct method: Check if you are using the correct dose &amp; the method you use.Go get trained by a nurse or respiratory therapist.

Possibly: Check your peak flow meter each day (aren't you doing that already?), and check it when you have symptoms of dizziness and lightheadedness. Also, are you skipping meals? This could explain your symptoms also. Hope that helps.
