Stress: Yes, anxiety and stress can definitely cause you to feel off balance. But if you also have a congested nose, there might be other issues that aren't purely mental.
Congestion in your nose can be due to stress but also due to cold, allergies, or diet. And that can cause you to have a fluid imbalance in your head which can make you feel dizzy/off balance.

There is some evidence that treating the anxiety with anti depressants or anti anxiety medications can also help the dizziness.  This balance disorder has been called csd (chronic subjective dizziness.

Exactly 1 month?: Did you start to feel "off balance" before or after you became bedbound?  Lying in bed excessively will cause deconditioning to occur in several different bodily systems including the vestibular or "balance system" so the longer it takes to figure this out the worse your equilibrium could become.  Have you seen a neurologist?  Are you anxious walking due to fear of falling or passing out?

getting lightheaded/off-balance feeling. happens randomly. bloodwork, ekgs and bp normal (120s/80s). what should be next step to cause? pcp doesnt seem concerned & isnt in a hurry to refer me on. i have anxiety but not anxious when it happens. thx!

Need more history: If the lightheaded feeling comes when standing for a while or when getting up after sitting, it may help to increase salt in your diet, and focus on getting the muscles moving a little more.  If it happens after turning your head or after bending over, it may be more related to an inner ear over over reaction.  If are aware of yourself sighing, you may be hyperventilating, common with anxiety Dx.
