Repeat in 3-4 days: About 25% of early pregnancies are lost spontaneously, mostly due to chromosomal defects in the fetus. You may wish to repeat the test in 3-4 days just to be sure.

Blood pregnancy test: I am assuming that both tests were urine pregnancy tests.  When there is a discrepancy between urine pregnancy tests, a blood pregnancy test is usually used find out for sure.    If the test at the hospital was a blood pregnancy test, it is likely correct.   A UTI won&#x27;t interfere with the results of a pregnancy test.   You could also wait a week and test again.  Best wishes!

No: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses (such as a UTI), sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

i am delayed for 3 days now and i have uti also i am experiencing menstrual cramps but its a dull pain.. i tried pregnancy test and it is negative..is it normal to be delayed?

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Here are some ...: This Q was answered once; but, reiterate here. False positive in pregnancy test is possible, but not likely for 3 times in a row unless all the test strips from the same defected batch. So, work with Doc to get UTI treated and have concerning pregnancy checked in one wk with test-strip from different batch. Remember: morning sickness usually starts in 5-6 wks after conception. Ask gyn-doc timely..

Safe in pregnancy : Please check the class of safety in first trimester of pregnancy for the antibiotic that you are taking. If class B, you can continue. If class C, then stop and contact your doctor. Have a  safe pregnancy.

No: A UTI will not affect the results of a pregnancy test. The pregnancy test checks for the hormone HCG and a urinary tract infection would have no effect on whether or not your body is producing hcg.
